Pablo Picasso

Light painting, also known as light graffiti, is an art that uses a slow-shutter camera as the perspective while its’ subject is a light in the hands of an artist. In this case, the artist is none other than Pablo Piccaso himself, the founder of the Cubist movement and one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. These photographs show this modern master painting with light on a photographic canvas in a way that delivers his vision to today’s technological avant Gard. While light painting is not a new technique, it is among the photographic frontiers explored by today’s freshest artists. When looking back upon Pablo Picasso’s light graffiti, they have a new source of inspiration in one of the 20th Century’s greatest creative minds.

Here are some of piccaso's light painting images, until doing this brief on light painting i didn't know of picasso's light painting images some of which were featured in life magazine. Picasso has done these light paintings as portraits using the light however still leaving enough light in the shot to also show the subject as well the portraits are very effective whilst still involving the light painting.
